“Peaceful Release” has been a journey that has given me perspective on my own fears and longing to understand the creative force that drives my art. With every bold fabric color choice and with every meticulous series of knots on top of knots I create organic forms that make my abstract visions more tangible. I am very passionate about fabric art but I am just as passionate about the process. Most recently I have discovered a feeling of peace and euphoria I receive through meditation and the concentration of breath. This connection is the same feeling of peace that is present when I am in the moment of creating. Through this process I confront my own struggles and fears but in the end what has manifested is an expression of how my own anxieties turn into an intense, colorful fabric art piece.
